Ontario Estate Management (OEM) was incorporated in 2001. Since its inception, various estate-related functions and advice have been provided for select clients. In 2015, the decision was made internally to open up OEM services to the general public. This is in order to fill what we perceive as a gap in services related to the one of the most difficult times of your life – when a loved one passes away. We feel that, in those times of need and emotionality, you deserve to have educated, competent, intelligent, rational individuals who can help you through what can become a significantly complex problem.

How We Help
There are a significant number of duties that the Estate Trustee is responsible for in order to live up to their role.
Especially now, there have been significant changes to legislation that put significantly greater onus and responsibility – and potential liability – on Estate Trustees. For example, Estate Trustees can now be audited up to 4 years after filing an Estate Information Return in certain circumstances. In addition to the need to file an Estate Information Return, there is a need to file estate income tax returns, deal with tax liabilities and first liens and charges against the estate.
Ontario Estate Management is here to help with most of your questions and concerns, and will guide you through the estate administration process to minimize the stress and strain placed on you and your family. We have arrangement with two law firms to help address any legal issues that might arise.
